Marvel's First Family has already started bonding, with the cast of Fantastic Four gathering in a group chat to share all about the upcoming project.

Fantastic Four: previews of the film

Ebon Moss-Bachrach, known for his roles in several hit productions, including The Bear, shed some light on the group's dynamic during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ahead of Saturday's SAG Awards. Moss-Bachrach will play the role of Ben Grimm/The Thing in Fantastic Four, while the cast will see Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

The actor revealed that Pedro Pascal started a Fantastic Four cast group chat a few days ago and recounted the cast's first experiences within this group. Moss-Bachrach joked that despite the inevitable initial confusion, all the cast members responded and made themselves heard with images, stickers, and gifs, creating an atmosphere of friendship and collaboration from the beginning. Additionally, Moss-Bachrach shared details about his approach to his portrayal of The Thing in Fantastic Four, noting that it will be primarily based on performance capture rather than the use of a suit as seen in previous film adaptations. The actor explained that with current technological advances, traditional dress could appear outdated and unrealistic.

While Moss-Bachrach has been cagey about revealing plot details for the Fantastic Four film, he confirmed that he has read the full script. Regarding the 1960s setting, suggested by a released promotional image, the actor hinted that it could be a possibility, without official confirmation. Finally, Moss-Bachrach shared a funny anecdote about the moment he learned he had landed the role for Fantastic Four, recalling being amazed while he was on the streets of New York City. His instinctive reaction? Head to your nearest liquor store to purchase a bottle of mezcal to celebrate.
