The new chapter of the Monsterverse is finally here. Godzilla x Kong – The New Empire is available in theaters all over the world (in India from Friday 29 March). The film brings to the big screen a brand new adventure that sees the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla fight side by side against a colossal unknown threat that lurks in our world, putting their very existence to the test... and ours. The film is highly anticipated by fans of the monster franchise, but does it have a post-credits scene?

Don't worry, you can easily get up and leave the theater at the end of the film because Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire does not have a post-credits scene. However, there is a gem that you might like to hear. (Spoilers follow!) Once the credits roll, a scream can be heard (without any image). The scream appears to come from Mothra, who also appears in the film. In the previous chapter of the Monsterverse, Mothra sacrifices herself to empower Godzilla. However, the kaiju didn't leave the scene before making some contingency plans. It seems that Mothra's eggs have been left scattered around the world and one of them is hatched in Godzilla & Kong: The New Empire.

It seems that the next chapter has already been prepared, although Warner Bros. Discovery and Legendary Entertainment have yet to make official decisions on the matter. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire further delves into the stories and origins of these two Titans, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island, among others, revealing the mythical battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and forever linked them to humanity. Adam Wingard returns to direct the film, which stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen.
