Monsters at Work Season 2 will premiere on Disney Channel before streaming on Disney+

After the success of the first season on Disney+ in 2021, the Monsters at Work series is preparing to return with the long-awaited second season. However, this time, the release strategy brings with it a little change. Monsters at Work, the television series that continues the famous Monsters, Inc. franchise, has unveiled its first trailer for the second season. The trailer features protagonist Tylor Tuskman recruited to work at a rival company, promising new adventures and exciting intrigue.

Disney has confirmed that the new season of Monsters at Work will premiere on Disney Channel on April 5, launching two brand new episodes. After that, two more episodes will be released every Saturday until the entire season lands on Disney+ on May 5. In addition to protagonists Ben Feldman and Mindy Kaling, the second season of Monsters at Work will see the return of icons such as John Goodman and Billy Crystal in the roles of Sulley and Mike. Additionally, there will be some welcome reappearances from the Monsters, Inc. franchise, with Nathan Fillion, Aubrey Plaza, and Bobby Moynihan reprising their roles from 2013's Monsters University.

Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, and Alanna Ubach will all return for season two, along with an additional cast that includes Jennifer Coolidge, Rhys Darby, Janelle James, Jenifer Lewis, Ali Wong, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell, Danny Pudi, Cody Rigsby, Jimmy Tatro, Danny Trejo, Joe Lo Truglio and Alan Tudyk. The official synopsis reads: “Tylor's journey as the Jokester and his friendship with Val face their final test. When new doors of opportunity unexpectedly open at rival energy company, FearCo, Tylor's colleagues at Monsters Inc. begin to question his loyalty. As his partnership with Laugh Floor Val is pushed to the brink, Tylor must discover his true place."
