Prime Video has revealed the release date of the second season of Outer Range, the TV series created by Brian Watkins and starring Josh Brolin. Starting from the foundations expertly laid by the first season, which set in motion the mystery at the center of the plot, the new episodes will be full of twists, unexpected implications, and new paths for the characters.
Outer Range tells the story of Royal Abbott, a ranch owner who fights hard for his land and his family and who comes across an inexplicable phenomenon in the heart of the Wyoming wilderness, in the form of a dark chasm. The mystery surrounding this bottomless abyss, which appeared on a plot of the Abbott family ranch, deepens even more during the second season, as Royal and his wife Cecelia try to keep the family together after the sudden disappearance of their granddaughter. The stakes have never been higher for the Abbotts, who now face threats on multiple fronts. The second season of Outer Range will push its characters deeper and deeper into the abyss, with unexpected implications that could shake the foundations of time itself.
The second season of Outer Range, consisting of seven episodes, will debut on Prime Video on May 16. The series cast includes Imogen Poots (Baltimore), Lili Taylor (Manhunt), Tamara Podemski (Reservation Dogs), Lewis Pullman (Chemistry Lessons), Tom Pelphrey (Ozark), Noah Reid (Schitt's Creek), Shaun Sipos (Reacher), Isabel Arraiza (The Last Clue), Olive Abercrombie (The Haunting of Hill House) and Will Patton (Horizon: An American Saga). The series stars Charles Murray, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Ernest McNealey, Josh Brolin, Tony Krantz, Heather Rae, and Jon Paré as executive producers. Josh Brolin (Dune: Part Two) will make his directorial debut in the penultimate episode of season two.
