The star of West Wide Story and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent has left the cast of the film – entitled Paddington in Peru – which is scheduled for release in theaters on January 17, 2025. In a recent interview with Collider, the actress revealed the reasons for her withdrawal.

Rachel Zegler, in Paddington 3, was supposed to play Gina, the daughter of Hunter Cabot (played by Antonio Banderas. The actress had to say goodbye to the character due to the actors' strike that took place in recent months and which lasted for several months "I was part of Paddington 3, but not anymore because of the SAG strike. They were able to continue filming, but I was the only actor signed up to SAG. Another talented actress will do it and I'm very excited to see it because it was a wonderful script and I think Paddington fans will be thrilled with it," Zegler said. The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Jim Broadbent, and Carla Tous, as well as Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton, returning to lend their Paddington voices and Aunt Lucy.
