A new South Korean series is about to arrive on Netflix: Parasyte – The Gray, based on the successful manga of the same name by Hitoshi Iwaaki.

Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Parasyte – The Gray, the new South Korean TV series created by the creator of the horror series Hellbound, Yeon Sang Ho. Based on the successful Japanese manga of the same name by Hitoshi Iwaaki (over 25 million copies sold worldwide), the series - made up of 6 episodes - will debut on the platform on April 5th.

Humanity faces a growing threat as unidentified parasites violently take control of humans and gain ever more power. The plot of Parasyte – The Gray revolves around unidentified parasitic lifeforms that live off human hosts and seek to increase their power. As they begin to disrupt society, a group of humans wage war against the growing evil.
For those who don't know, Parasyte – The Gray has already been adapted with an anime series and two live-action films. The cast includes Koo Kyo-hwan, Lee Jung-hyun, Kwon Hae-hyo, and Kim In-kwon. It was directed by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan), who commented: “When I was in my twenties, Parasyte was a staple for those of us who were fans of manga and animation. Having the opportunity to develop it and create something new is not only a great honor, but also a dream come true since my youth."
