Snowpiercer season 4 will see the light! AMC has acquired U.S. broadcast rights (both streaming and free-to-air) to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama series after it was canceled by its original network, TNT. In India, the series is available on Netflix. It had been announced that Season 4 would be the show's last, before TNT's parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, decided not to air it altogether to cut costs. Producer Tomorrow Studios later sold the show to other outlets. The first three seasons of Snowpiercer will be available to stream on AMC+ later this year, while season 4 will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.

“Snowpiercer is an exciting adventure with a loyal fanbase – similar to the fandoms we have in our larger franchise series – and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said Ben Davis, executive vice president of AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “We look forward to allowing viewers to enjoy the first three seasons later this year, in anticipation of an extraordinary fourth season directed by Paul Zbyszewski and this stellar cast, which will be presented in premiere in 2025”. Snowpiercer is based on the 2013 film of the same name, which was itself based on a graphic novel by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.

The show was first put into development in 2015, with a pilot ordered in 2016 and a series in 2018. “We're so excited that The Train has finally found a home, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone at AMC and Tomorrow Studios for giving Snowpiercer fans a chance to enjoy Season 4, with all the hard work of this amazing cast and the crew put in,” showrunner Paul Zbyszewski said. The series stars Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Mike O'Malley, Roberto Urbina and Sheila Vand. New cast members previously announced for season four include Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov.
