Timothée Chalamet's journey to becoming Bob Dylan has officially begun! The actor was spotted on the set of James Mangold's upcoming biopic, this time focusing on the famous singer-songwriter and titled A Complete Unknown. The photos were taken in New York City on Sunday, where filming is taking place. The biopic will reportedly focus on Bob Dylan's controversial transition to the electric guitar in the 1960s and his road to becoming a folk music legend.

In the photos Chalamet embodies Bob Dylan, in a classic 1960s outfit, holding a worn guitar case in his hand and walking through the streets of the city. He is wearing a pair of jeans, a green jacket, an orange/brown wool scarf, and a hat, and has a large yellow canvas backpack on his back. Next to him, a retro-looking car passes (all the photos here).

In January Chalamet visited Bob Dylan's former high school in Hibbing, Minnesota, while preparing for the role. During the visit, he spent some time with the drama department at Hibbing High School, as they explained in a Facebook post:

“HHS Drama accidentally broke the internet: yesterday we spent about 45 minutes with Timothée Chalamet in the historic Hibbing Auditorium,” the school's drama department wrote in the post. “While researching all things Bob Dylan for an upcoming biopic, he asked his tour guide if he could meet the acting students who were working on the first act of their competition.” The actor also agreed to take some group photos with the students.
