The official title for the third Venom film has been revealed, originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2024, but now expected for October 25, 2024. The film's official title is Venom: The Last Dance. The film will be shown in premium and IMAX formats.
In November 2023, the protagonist of the film Tom Hardy shared a photo from the set on his social profiles, in which he recounted his journey as the interpreter of Eddie Brock. The beginning of his statement said “V3NOM 3. The Last Dance”, so the title was actually already under our noses. Furthermore, the wording "The Last Dance" would suggest that the third Venom film will also be the last, as many have already predicted. It is also possible that it was Hardy's post that influenced the choice of the final official title, given that the actor is also very involved in its production process.

Directed by newcomer Kelly Marcel, Sony's Spider-Man Universe blockbuster also stars Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor in as-yet-undisclosed roles. Thanks to the fact that Venom was catapulted into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home there is the possibility that Ejiofor will reprise his character Karl Mordo. Plot details are currently unknown, but fans suspect it will follow Eddie's "multiversal" leap seen in the post-credits scenes of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Although this is the third Venom film, it is actually the sixth installment in the film series that makes up Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Along with the previous films starring Tom Hardy, the franchise also consists of Morbius and Madame Web. The upcoming film Kraven the Hunter is also part of the same continuity, but is expected to hit theaters before Venom: The Last Dance on August 30, 2024. After what happened with Madame Web, the box office performances of both of these films will likely play a determining factor in the future of SSU.
