After the success of the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, in which he reprised the role of the iconic character from the Star Wars saga, Ewan McGregor has spoken of his desire to continue exploring the galactic world through new stories. Although there are currently no plans for a second season of the series, the actor expressed hope that there is still room for him in the franchise.

In an interview with LADbible, Ewan McGregor shared that he has not been approached by Lucasfilm or Disney about further Obi-Wan Kenobi projects after the series. However, the actor underlined his love for the role and his willingness to continue playing the famous Jedi, should the opportunity arise. The actor expressed his desire to tell further stories set in the Star Wars universe, highlighting that there are still many aspects of Obi-Wan's character to explore.
Despite no immediate plans for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, McGregor encouraged fans to express their desire for new adventures in the world of Star Wars. The actor highlighted that, given his current age and the time that passed before his character became the one played by Alec Guinness in A New Hope, there would still be room for further narrative and development.
McGregor also revealed that the possibility of an Obi-Wan film was initially discussed, but praised the decision to make a series, which allowed for a longer and more in-depth story to be developed in the Star Wars universe. The actor then encouraged fans to contact Disney if they wanted further chapters of the saga.
