With just two roles, Zoe Saldaña became the first actress in history with four films grossing more than $2 billion at the box office. It is therefore understandable that she believes that it would be a mistake for Marvel Studios not to recover the Guardians of the Galaxy after the fantastic and very successful third film, even though she is not interested in reprising the role of the lethal Gamora.

During an interview on The Playlist's Discourse podcast, Saldaña revealed that, as of now, she has no interest in returning to the MCU, but that Gamora is still on the warpath within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its narrative on a large scale. “Well, at the moment I think she's gone for me, but I don't think Gamora is gone forever. I think it would be a great loss for Marvel if they didn't find a way to bring the character and the Guardians of the Galaxy back to life. They're a group of outcasts who are very beloved by fans and then they had James Gunn's writing at the helm, which is wonderful and very fitting for this genre."

But be careful, because the superhero saga and the profitable Avatar are not the only sagas in which the actress has participated. In her filmography, the role of Nyota Uhura in the film reboot of Star Trek also stands out, which still has a fourth chapter in the pipeline, finished in an eternal development process. Since hope is the last to die, Zoe Saldaña assured that it would be a pleasure to return to the Enterprise, even with another cast.

“I'm still confident. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish all three times I was part of that team. I know they're always trying to get everyone together, but I also know Paramount is working on a remake of Star Trek. I think it's a wonderful franchise that should live a long time, regardless of whether the original reboot cast returns. I don't know, but I really hope so."
