Lucky Bhaskar Movie Review: Even though Dulquer Salmaan is a Malayalam hero, he is very close to the Telugu people. He has already done films like Mahanati and Seetharam, and since the announcement that he is doing a film called Lucky Bhaskar under the direction of Venky Atluri, there have been expectations about the film.
Meenakshi Chaudhary is in the lead role, this movie is produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sitara Entertainments and Trivikram's wife Sai Saujanya under the banner of Fortune Four Cinemas. Presented by the Srikara Studios banner, the film unit is very confident from the beginning. That's why the unit also showed the premieres a day earlier. And how is this movie? To what extent does the film maintain the trust of the unit? How impressed the audience? Now let's see in the review.
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Story:
The story takes place in the 80s. Bhaskar (Dulquer), a middle-class bank employee, struggles to support his family with his salary. Apart from his wife Sumathi (Meenakshi Chaudhary) and son Karthik (Ritvik), he also has the responsibilities of a father, a sister, and a younger brother. As the monthly salary is not enough, he borrows money from whoever he sees and talks to everyone. At the time he thought he would get a promotion in the bank when he found out that it was bribed and taken by someone else, he became fixated that no matter how hard he worked, there would be no progress in life.
At such a time, he shook hands with Antony (Ranky) who came for a loan and brought the amount from the bank. He asks for 20 percent of the profits made in the business with an agreement to return within hours. Bhaskar makes many deals with Antony and earns lakhs. But after Antony says that he will leave India and leaves, Bhaskar looks for a new way to earn money. He earns crores of money illegally for his family's needs even though he knows that the way is risky.
But with the sudden death of a bank employee he knew, Bhaskar's thinking starts. At exactly the same time, the wife also quarrels with Bhaskar. What did Bhaskar do according to the advice given by his father who was a CA? What did the CBI do to Bhaskar who found that he had earned 100 crores illegally? Has Bhaskar finally returned that hundred crores to the bank? What are the roles of bank chairman (Tinu Anand) and manager (Sachin Khedkar) in this? Has Bhaskar escaped from this case? What happened in the end? How did an ordinary Bhaskar become a Lucky Bhaskar? If you want to know such things, you have to watch the movie on the big screen.
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Analysis:
We have seen many movies where a common middle-class boy struggles for money and later rises to a rank after knowing the way to earn money. Almost this also goes on the same line. There is nothing new to say, but it can be said that the movie kept engaging the audience from the first scene to the final climax Shubham Kardu, making them laugh and make them think.
A simple bank employee finds a way out of situations where he has crores of money before his eyes and nothing to do with it. It seems interesting that he took out money from the bank within his scope and made money by doing illegal transactions and took that money back and put it in the bank. Another interesting fact is that the Telugu audience knows about Harshad Mehta.
Because there are already some web series on how he did stock market scams. Only Harshad Mehta is mentioned in them. But what kind of twists and turns did the life of an ordinary Assistant General Manager take because of this Harshad Mehta? The subject is very interesting. In fact, it seems that this is what it means to look at the other side of the coin. From the beginning of the movie, Bhaskar's character is relatable to every middle-class person.
Certainly, not only the middle class but also the lower middle-class people dream that they will one day move to a better place. It is no exaggeration to say that there is no audience who not only dreams but also goes to that level and does not enjoy seeing themselves in Bhaskar. Moreover, the script written by the director made us feel that after the release of the film, how nice it would be if we could earn money easily like this. The research done by him was seen in every scene.
He tried to find mistakes but succeeded in writing without them. Perhaps Naga Vamsi has mentioned the same thing many times. Maybe that's why they say that they will give a party to those who find fault in this movie. It was seen that the director took special care not to miss the detailing even in small scenes. However, he did his own magic with the screenplay, even though it seems that small logics are missing at times.
The director has succeeded in keeping the audience engaged from the beginning to the end of the film. When the movie starts, Bhaskar shows difficulties and during the interval, he drowns Bhaskar in money. After that how did Bhaskar get rid of that money addiction? In the end, how did he rise from the level of having no retail in his pocket to the level of making 100 crores back in the bank? The journey that shows that is impressive. There is no doubt that some of the scenes in between will blow whistles.
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Actors Performance:
Dulquer Salmaan played the role of Bhaskar in this movie. It can be said that he has engaged the audience in his own style without even thinking that he is a Malayalam actor. And Meenakshi, who played the role of his wife Sumathi, was impressive even though it was a very limited role. Rithvik, on the other hand, impressed the audience in every scene he appeared in, especially the emotional scenes. And Rajkumar Kashireddy, who played the role of Bhaskar's friend, proved that he can also be emotional while laughing.
People like Saikumar and Tinu Anand showed their experience on screen. All the other actors are impressive in their range. When it comes to technical aspects, the songs rendered by Jivi Prakash Kumar have already become some hits. Apart from that, the background score suits the movie. He designed it impressively while giving special elevations. Especially the dialogues written by Venky Atluri about money and middle-class mentality felt good.
Being a backdrop movie of the 80s, the way the entire city of Bombay was created at that time is truly commendable. The production values look good here. Cinematography is successful in carrying the mood of the movie. The editing is also good. In fact, there is nothing to say that the movie is amazing. While watching the movie, you will be laughing and thinking. This is also one of the recent movies that make people laugh without going into obscenity.
Overall: Lucky Bhaskar leads the way in giving a perfect family watch experience for this festival.
