Vidudala Part 2 Movie Review: There is a lot of interest in sequels among the audience. Sequels also create a lot of buzz before their release. Another sequel in that category is 'Vidudala 2'. 'Vidudala-2' is a sequel to the previously successful film 'Vidudala-1'. There are good expectations for this film directed by Vetrimaaran, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. Did this film, which was released this Friday, meet the expectations of the audience? Or not? To know, we have to go into the review.

Vidudala Part 2 Movie Story:

This story begins with the arrest of 'Prajadalam' leader Perumal (Vijay Sethupathi) by the police. Part 1 of this film was also stopped here... Again, the story of Part 2 began with Perumal's arrest. Perumal, who teaches children in the hamlet, becomes a leader in the process of stopping the landlord system, the injustices, the injustices, and the abuses of the capitalists.

At this moment, what kind of change will his love and marriage with Mahalakshmi (Manju Warrier), who he meets and is close to his feelings, bring about in him? Will Mahalakshmi follow in Perumal's footsteps? How will Perumal, who does not like non-violence, run the movement? What will Suri, who helped capture Perumal, do at the end? This story moves forward with interesting twists and turns.

Vidudala 2 Movie Analysis:

The story of 'Release-2' progresses with more naturalness than 'Release' Part 1. Perumal's role continues to be the main focus throughout the story. The film starts interestingly with Perumal, who is in police custody, telling DSP Sunil a flashback of his movement journey. How did the Zamindari system exploit the oppressed classes? What injustices and irregularities did it commit? This is shown very heartily in this film through the character of Karappan.

The injustice done to Karappan made Perumal, who was a master of teaching children until then, move towards the movement. These scenes will make everyone's hearts heavy in the film. The struggle of the workers in the sugar factory.. and the introduction of Mahalakshmi (Manju Warrier) there.. The director has made every scene impressive.

The director has especially tried to show the communist movements of that time.. their principles.. the sacrifices they made for the movements.. and the consequences. He has also tried to show in the film how the police would frame the fighters and common people for their own selfish interests. However, the shooting episode between the police and Perumal's team members seems to drag on for too long, which makes the audience bored. However, the highlight scenes of the film touch everyone's hearts.

Actors' performance:

Vijay Sethupathi's performance as Perumal continues to be very natural. His performance throughout the film is impressive. Except for Perumal's role in every scene, you don't feel like watching Vijay Sethupathi. His performance in some scenes feels very great. Manju Warrier's role as Mahalakshmi looks very high. She doesn't look like she acted anywhere. Although the length of the roles of Gautham Menon, Kannada Kishore, and Soori is short, they excelled to the best of their abilities.

In this story written by Vetrimaaran, the characters are very natural and serious, so the pace of the film feels a bit slow. However, every character and scene is very natural and gives the feeling of the situation of that time being depicted in a very realistic way. Ilayaraja's music and background music carry the mood of the story. Vetrimaaran has once again shown his talent as a director. Finally, this film, which is very natural with realistic elements, has the potential to impress the audience to a moderate extent.
