Daku Maharaj Movie Review: Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest film, Daku Maharaj, was released worldwide today. Bobby Kolli directed it, and Sitara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Productions jointly produced it. In our movie review, we will see whether Balayya will break the box office with the film or not.
Daku Maharaj Movie Story:
Sitaram (Balakrishna) lives a peaceful life with his daughter. On the other hand, a mining king (Bobby Deol) is unjustly robbing people. Sita Ram faces a problem due to Bobby Deol over an issue. Who is 'Daku Maharaj' in this sequence? What is the relationship between this Daku Maharaj and Sitaram, who used to rob the elders and help the poor? Who is Nanaji in the middle? Sitaram.. Are Daku Maharaj and Nanaji three different.. or one..? What is the link between him, who is known as the Flashback Mining King, and Daku Maharaj? What did ‘Daku Maharaj’ do to save people instead of robbing them? You have to watch this movie to know how ‘Daku Maharaj’, who took up the sword to protect the people, finally carried out the evil punishment.
Daku Maharaj Movie Analysis:
If we look at Bobby’s past films, Bobby’s trademark style twists the whole story around a small point. After his last movie ‘Waltheru Veeraiah’, he is doing a film with Balayya, and the title ‘Daku Maharaj’ has been given to it, so expectations for this film are sky-high. Bobby also saves Krishna Kumar from the death penalty in the film ‘Aditya 369’ in the form of a dacoit in Sri Krishna Devaraya’s getup. He made this film based on that character’s background.
So, there was a king. That too was a king without a kingdom. In this, the director has portrayed the role of ‘Daku Maharaj’ in the style of Robin Hood. Moreover, he has shown Balayya beyond what his fans want to see. Some scenes will give goosebumps but it remains to be seen to what extent the common audience will be impressed. He has gone beyond Boyapati Srinu and adapted Balayya’s pluses to suit him.
He has directed the film away from logic. Balayya has taken good care of the costumes. That should be appreciated. Balayya’s romantic song with Urvashi Rautela is thrilling. That song is like taking Balayya’s pride. In this film, Balayya has been shown in three different roles Daku Maharaj, Sitaram, and Nanaji. In this film, the sentiment of the child is seen in all the films.
Bobby has woven this film into a film that wraps up a point. He has dragged this film with just scenes without a big story. Moreover, Balayya has mixed and grounded old films. He has made it his job to cut without any harm. It seems that this film was made for the fans only, not for the mass audience. Every scene seems to have been made with a bang. There is nothing worse than watching this film with a family audience. Some scenes remind me of Karthi's 'Khaki' films along with Sholay.
It seems like the flashback episode has been completely copied in the style of Samarasimha Reddy. On the other hand, only the pre-climax scene where the horse reminds the hero is impressive. On the other hand, Bobby Deol has played the role of a villain who is brave to the hero. He dragged the film without logic here and there. Only the RR provided by Thaman for this film is good. The songs are not very impressive. The songs were useful for the audience to check WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Even if the editor cut half an hour in the first half of this film.. the film has not lost much. The cinematography and production values are good. Overall, he has made a routine revenge formula with Balayya.
Actors Performance:
There is nothing new to say about Balakrishna's performance. If he has been entertaining the audience for 50 years, then his performance should be saluted. In this film, he has become a hero in the role of Daku Maharaj.. Sitaram.. Sarkar Sitaram. The way Balayya has become a hero in the role of Daku Maharaj is amazing. Bobby Deol has excelled as a villain to the best of his ability. Shraddha Srinath and Pragya Jaiswal have done justice to their roles according to the story. Urvashi Rautela seems to have been cast for an item song. The rest of the actors have excelled to the best of their ability.
