Nani is back with The Paradise and the new teaser indicates that this will be something different from what he has done before. After Dasara he is coming together with director Srikanth Odela once again but this time they are apparently taking things to a whole new level. Nani’s new look has already become one of the most talked about topics among fans and the teaser is rough, violent and full of attitude. If it was meant to create interest in the movie, then it definitely scored its point.

Already there has been talk about Nani’s new look.

The teaser takes us to a world of violence, poverty and people who have been on the fringes for a long time. In the movie, Nani is shown as Jadal aka Dhagad, a man who rises from a troubled upbringing to become the leader of an exploited tribal community. It implies that this is not a simple action movie, but rather the story of their fight against people and institutions that have taken away their rights.

Then there is Nani himself. In some of the teaser footage he is almost unrecognizable from the blood that covers his face and clothes. The two plaits and the weapon, which is a chain of blades. One shot shows him sitting on top of his defeated enemies and right away it is clear what kind of character he is. Nani has played many intense roles in the past but Jadal seems to be the most aggressive of all. Raghav Juyal essays the role of Vikram Maalik, who is on the other side and looks to be the one directly blocking Jadal.

Behind Paradise: The Cast & Crew

The film stars Kayadu Lohar as the female lead and has Mohan Babu and Sampoornesh Babu in the cast. After Dasara, Srikanth Odela is back in the director’s chair and this reunion has generated a lot of buzz among fans who loved their first outing. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, who has become almost synonymous to action films on the big screen in recent years.

The music is already gaining recognition. After the teaser, the makers released another poster in which Nani was seen in full rage mode. Aaya Sher has created a lot of buzz on social media. At least the promotional materials have made clear what genre this film is supposed to be until now. It’s not trying to cover the violence or make the world look slick. The story they seem to be telling is consistent with the impression that everything is dirty, crowded and dangerous.

Paradise has big international release plans

The Paradise will be released in theaters worldwide on September 24, 2026. The film is releasing in languages like Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, English and Spanish. This is a pretty ambitious release plan, especially for a film that is so centered on a hyper-localized narrative and setting.

There have also been accusations that the producers contacted Ryan Reynolds to promote the film overseas. It is anybody’s guess whether it will happen but the thot shows the team’s intent to take the audience of The Paradise beyond the regular Telugu cinema audience. South Indian films have already been successful internationally and if the end product turns out to be as per the expectations, this film could capitalize on the increasing interest in the genre.

    Nani keeps reinventing himself

What is interesting about The Paradise is that Nani does not seem to be interested in simply copying what has worked previously. He has spent a significant part of his career oscillating between different kinds of characters, including emotional dramas like Jersey and Hi Nanna and more commercial films like Dasara. He looks like he’s ready to go into even deeper darkness now.

Odela’s earlier work with him gives the movie a good base to work upon. Dasara’s success lies in the fact that the world felt real and the characters carried real emotional heft to the drama. If The Paradise can bring that same quality to this far more violent story, it could be something special. The teaser surely suggests that there is a real character behind the blood and action, and this is the crucial element that will be decided when the film is released in theaters.

The question is, will the story fit the style?

One variable that may prove to be the deciding factor in The Paradise’s success or failure is the balance between its action and its social narrative. The film appears to be making a statement on poverty, tribal rights and the battle of the individual against a system that has subjugated him, while at the same time offering a vast array of commercial entertainment and large scale violence. The combination is possible but the emotional part of the story has to be real.

But the teaser has worked for now. It has shown us a wide understanding of the world of the film without explaining it in detail and has shown Nani in a role very different from the roles he has played before. Paradise is all set to hit the screens on September 24. This teaser has made us inquisitive about the contents of the film starring Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela.
